Seagull S6 Original QI Guitar

Seagull S6 Original QI Guitar Review

Seagull S6 Original QI Guitar Feature

  • Made in North America
  • Select Pressure Tested Top
  • Double Action Truss Rod
  • Tapered Headstock for precise and stable tuning and great for open tunings
  • Tusq nut and compensated saddle for better intonation

The Seagull S6 Guitar--The Original, Updated with Godin QI

Winner of several awards, the S6 is perhaps the instrument that best represents the Seagull philosophy. The S6 offers entry level players the opportunity to experience the great feel and superb sound provided by a hand finished neck, select solid Cedar top and a Custom Polished Finish.

The back and sides are constructed of wild cherry, the neck of silver-leaf maple, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

Seagull guitars all feature Tusq nuts and saddles. The fully compensated saddle helps the Seagull S6 original acoustic guitar play beautifully in-tune all over the neck.

About the Godin QI

The Godin EPM Quantum acoustic guitar system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. This single source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. The electronics and controls are packaged in a small and easy to use format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance seen only in far more complex systems.

The Godin Q1 also includes a built-in high quality digital chromatic tuner with LED display.

Operating Suggestions
Before plugging in for the first time, adjust Quantum volume to minimum (fully counterclockwise) and set bass and treble at midrange. Plug into endpin jack and amplifier. Increase volume slowly to desired level. Adjust bass and treble to desired level.

The Seagull Original Guitar Series

The guitars that make up the Seagull Original series represent one of the world's outstanding values in acoustic guitars. The back and sides of the Original series models are made from a three-layer lamination of Wild Cherry wood. With a sound that lands somewhere between the mellow tone of a Mahogany guitar and the bright sound of Maple, Wild Cherry has proven itself to be an excellent tone wood. Grown locally, Wild Cherry is also an choice. Original series guitars feature very smooth necks made from Silver Leaf Maple.

All Seagull Guitars Feature Reverse Headstocks

Each Seagull neck starts out as a single piece of Mahogany or Silver Leaf Maple. The wood is cut at a 45 degree angle after which the top piece - the Headstock - is glued back on with the grain reversed. This is an essential step in the Seagull process for creating incredibly stable necks.

More About Seagull Guitars

The Seagull story wouldn't be complete without mentioning La Patrie. La Patrie is a small village in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. This is where the first Seagulls were made in the early eighties. Today, La Patrie has a population of about 475 and about half of these people are guitar builders. These folks take a great deal of pride in the guitars they build.

  • Silver Leaf maple neck
  • Contoured high-gloss black headstock
  • Adjustable Tusq Bridge by Graphtech
  • 1x Godin Kingpin P90 single-coil pickup
  • Cream Binding
The Godin 5th Avenue brings you back to a time when the archtop acoustic guitar reigned supreme. With the soul of a 1950's archtop, the 5th Avenue is a true vintage spirit of yesterday with today's level of modern playability. With more projection & volume in the low/mids than traditional archtop acoustic guitars, the dynamically rich tone of the 5th Avenue makes this sophisticated instrument a dream to play, but not a nightmare to pay for. The Godin 5th Avenue now makes the affordable North American archtop guitar a reality! From Alt-Country, Delta Blues, Slide, Jazz to Rock, the 5th Avenue can really deliver both acoustically and electrically. The new Godin Kingpin P90 single-coil pickup delivers all that classic, vintage tone with presence, clarity and a little attitude thrown in for good measure! Made from Canadian Wild Cherry, the body of the 5th Avenue features a molded arched top and back, as well as an adjustable bridge, classic f-holes, contoured high-gloss headstock, floating pickguard and cream binding. Also, the rustic beauty of its Custom Polished Finish creates a gorgeous satin sheen reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th century.

Godin Multiac Guitar (Nylon, Natural HG)

Godin Multiac Guitar (Nylon, Natural HG) Review

Godin Multiac Guitar (Nylon, Natural HG) Feature

  • Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and offset dot inlays
  • RMC Custom bridge transducer and preamp with three-band EQ
  • Built-in 13-pin connector for Roland GR-Series synths and most other 13-pin devices
  • 25 1/2-inch scale
  • Chambered mahogany body with spruce top

The original Multiac Nylon SA combines cutting edge acoustic guitar design with state-of-the-art on-board electronics and synth access. The 25-1/2" scale, the 1 7/8" nut width, and the fingerboard radius—a slight 16"—all contribute to an easy feel for steel string players to adapt to. This has become the instrument of choice for guitarists of all genres looking to incorporate nylon string guitar sounds in their music.

Godin Multiac Nylon SA

Godin's Multiac Series

The Multiac models represent the créme de la créme of the acoustic/electric guitar world. Whether you're recording, performing or just looking for an incredible plugged-in sound, these instruments deliver superb results. Several of these guitars are nylon string and the remaining are steel string. The various models are also distinguished by the two electronic systems used in the Multiac series guitars. The RMC-equipped Multiacs include synth access capabilities, and the Duet models feature custom dual source systems by L.R. Baggs.

Godin Multiac Nylon SA Preamp
RMC Polydrive preamp system for added feedback suppresion and a wealth of different tones.

Godin ACS-SA
Send a standard 1/4-inch output or use the 13-pin connector with Roland or other guitar synthesizers.
Classical Concepts, Solid Body Design

This guitar blends classical guitar concepts with elements of solid body design. With an incredibly comfortable Mahogany neck, a chambered Mahogany body, and a Spruce top, it delivers plenty of resonance. And because the body is chambered, thisinstrument is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even when the band gets loud.

The neck holds an ebony fretboard with 22 medium nickel frets and offset dot inlays, and thanks to the deep cutaway you can actually access the higher ones.

Synth Access

The Multiacs that use the RMC Polydrive system can be recognized by the individual transducer saddles under each string. This system not only produces superb amplified sound, but also produces a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector, which provides these guitars with direct access to Roland GR-Series synthesizers. The key to the exceptional synth tracking of the Multiac lies not just in the electronics but also in the carefully selected and balanced blend of different wood used in its design. All of the materials used are the result of extensive prototype testing to achieve the best possible combination of plugged-in guitar sound and synth tracking.

Output Section

All of the Multiac SA models are equipped with two outputs. The 1-/4-inch phone output works with a regular guitar cord. The 13-pin connector provides hexophonic (a separate signal for each string) output for guitar synth devices.
